I originally sketched Robbons* with pen and ink on paper; here I offer it as a limited edition (10 total), signed and numbered, high quality reproduction. I used this sketch to explore the shapes and lay-out for a painting with the same name. Ribbons explores organic structures, tendons, and muscles. Inspired by my life-long obsession with the way things work, including living creatures, this work explores the concept of a knee, viewed from multiple angles at once, leading to connections and movements that go far beyond the joint.
